B I O G R A P H Y

Ustadha Maream was born in Damascus Syria into an Islamic family. From an early age she was taught traditional Islam at the hands of Ustadha Umm Muhammad 'Alouni (Graduate of Shari'ah, University of Damascus). and studied Shafi'ie Fiqh (Kitaab Fiqh al-Ibadaa'at ala Madhab ash-Shafi'ie) belonging to Ustadha al-Hajaa al-Khuloud (Doctor of Fiqh, University of Damascus).

She is Hafidha of the Qur'an and has obtained 3 ijazas of which 2 are of different qiraat. She is studying to complete all 10 qira'aat with an Azhar Scholar. She has a certificate, BA in islamic studies, and MA in Aqidah usool ad-deen from different institutes and is currently preparing her PhD in Islamic studies in the domain of usuol ad-deen.
BIOGRAPHY
Islamic Studies
Ustadha Maream has been living in the United Kingdom for over 10 years, after studying in Damascus university and has continued her Islamic studies completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Shari'ah with the London Open College, with a high grade. She studied 'Aqeedah and Usuol Emaan under Dr Jalaaludeen Saleh (Director, London Islamic Open College), Fiqh al-Ibadaat and Fiqh al-Usra, Arabic Linguistics and Grammar and Uloum al-Qur'an and many more subjects under various ustaadhs and doctors. She then completed her Bachelor degree in Islamic studies graduating with a distinction from the European Institute for Human Sciences in Birmingham.

​She then enrolled and completed her Masters in Shari'ah (specialising in Usool ad-deen) at the Islamic University of America in 2017 gaining an overall distinction under the auspices of Sheikh Professor Waleed ibn Idrees al-Mannessi (from Egypt, founder and director and haafith and mujaaz in 10 qira'ats). She continues to prepare her PhD at the same institute with Dr al-Mannessi as her supervisor.

​Tajweed Sciences and Hifdh
Ustadha Maream studied Tajweed and its sciences under various teachers and sheikhs (Mujaz Qur'an wa Tajweed from Sheikh al-Qaari Muhayiden al-Kurdi)

​She continued her studies of the Qur'an in the UK and finished her memorisation in 6 months reading it completely at the hands of Sheikh Abdul Hadi Arwaani al-Hamawi (ra, from Syria). She read a number of chapters to Sheikh Dr Ahmed al-Faytori al-Leebe (from Libya). She was taught tuhfat al-atfaal as well as al-Jazariya from Sheikh Muhammed Abdul Latif al-Azhari (from Egypt, hafidh + mujeez with all the 10 qira'aat of the Qur'an).
​Ijazaat
Ustadha Maream has a certificate of completion of the Qur'an by heart from Sheikh Abdul Hadi Arwaani al-Hamawi (ra).
She has a high sanad from Sheikh Muhammed Abdul Latif al-Azhari in Hafs an 'Asim. She obtained 2 ijazas in Hafs an 'Asim and Shu'ba from Sheikh Dr Waleed ibn Idrees al-Mannessi.

​She has a number of ijaza's in the books of hadith as well. She memorised and was tested on al-Arbaoun an-Nawawi (the 40 hadith) by Sheikh al-Muhadeth Ali al-Khalfaoui (from Algeria). She has ijaza sama'a in al-Muwatta of Imam Malik from Sheikh Dr Abdul Rahman az-Zayidi (from Algeria, a doctor in Aqeedah) and some chapters of ahaadeth At-Tirmidhi. She has ijaza in Shamail al-Tirmidhi from Sheikh Dr. Nizaam al-Ya'qoubi (from Bahrain). She also completed ijaza in the whole Saheeh Bukhari from different Sheikhs and Muhadeth in Saudi Arabia, and has ijaza in some of Saheeh Bukhari from attending the lessons of Sheikh Muhammed al-Ajami (from Kuwait). she has an ijaza in Ahaadeth al-Mussalsala to the Prophet (PBUH)

She also attended different Majaalis I'ilm from different scholars around the world (like Tafsir al Qur'an Majlis from Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Askar- a doctor in Aloom al Qur'an from Saudi Arabia) and she's been granted a Tazkiyah for her thesis and has Tazkiyah from other scholars.

​Teaching Experience
Ustadha Maream is a qualified teacher and has taught students privately at her home for many years. She also has taught Arabic and Tajweed for sisters for 1 year at the London College for Islamic Studies (LCIS). She taught tuhfat al-Atfaal to children for 1year with al-Haramain Institute. She was a judge for the Quran competition at Imperial College in 2012.
​Articles
Ustadha Maream has written on a number of topics for both her college studies and personal reasons including, "The Miracles of the Qur'an", "The Ruling regarding the one who rejects the Sunnah", "Al-Istawa ala Arsh", "The lessons from Gahzawat Mu'ta", "A comprehesive Tafseer of Surah Qaaf upon the understanding of the Classical Mufasireen" and "Beneficial Lessons from the life of Yusuf (as)", and written some articles on the "Sects and Jama'at in Islam", as well, she wrote (shar'h) explanations for "Tuhfat Al Atfaal" poem, in Tajweed science.

She is currently preparing to publish her thesis entitled, "Extremism in Islamic groups."
